Moto Sports at Sanilac Country Fair

Bear Bottom Moto-Sports was back this year by popular demand on Monday, July 23rd during the 2007 Sanilac County 4-H Fair!

This event is a cross between outdoor motocross & indoor supercross racing, with both motocross bikes and quads. These races are fast paced with sizes of machines from 50cc to 500cc bike & quads. Racers range in age from 4 years old to 70 years of age and experienced from beginners to pro-am.

Rodeo at Sanilac Country Fair

Excitement fills the air again as the Flying Star Rodeo returns to Sanilac County on Tuesday, July 24th and Wednesday, July 25th at 7:30 p.m. during the 2007 Sanilac County 4-H Fair! This is a nationally sanctioned rodeo and will have the full schedule of rodeo competitions.

Flying Star Rodeo offers fast paced, high speed competition from cowgirls and cowboys. They have outstanding livestock and very competitive contestants that compete all year long.

Events at the rodeo include bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, team roping, calf roping and barrel racing. Bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding are won by the contestant that can ride their animal for a total of 8 seconds and also score the highest number of points. The other events are timed. The contestant with the fastest time and no penalties will win the cash prize.

Gate price for the 4H Fair is $10.00, which includes admission, parking, rides and admission to the grandstand.

Figure 8 at Sanilac Country Fair

The Figure 8 Derby returned to the fairgrounds on Thursday, July 26th during the 2007 Sanilac County 4-H Fair!

“The race started at 7:30 p.m. and combined driving skills on 15 laps of dual-oval track racing with unexpected crashing thrills. Drivers maneuvered cars along the track in a highly aggressive competition.

Tractor Pull at Sanilac Country Fair

The Figure 8 Derby returns to the fairgrounds on Thursday, July 26th during the 2007 Sanilac County 4-H Fair!

“The race starts at 7:30 p.m. and combines driving skills on 15 laps of dual-oval track racing with unexpected crashing thrills. In this event, it is the driver’s ability to out-think and out-maneuver other participants that makes them the winner,” explains John Cook, 4H Fairboard president.

Demo Derby at Sanilac Country Fair

The sound of roaring engines and crushing metal will fill the stands again as the Demolition Derby returns on Saturday, July 28th to top off an exciting week during the 2007 Sanilac County 4-H Fair!

Local drivers have the opportunity to participate in this annual event presented by the Sandusky Lions Club. Participants are registered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registration forms are available by calling Nancy at 810-648-2515.
